Description: Old World Winery is one of my favorite natural winemakers EVER! You may remember another orange wine by this same producer, the L’Aureate orange, in a previous wine club set. That said, the ‘Rise’ is delicious in a very different way. The nose of this wine fills your senses with clay, limestone, and white flowers with a palate of green almond and apricot. This wine is fantastically versatile. It has enough character to be enjoyed by itself, but has a lightness and lack of tannin that make it easy to pair with some of the most traditionally difficult foods like spicy dishes, foods with umami flavors, and pungent cheeses.
